Hugging Pend Oreille, the bends and the curves
Snow weighs the evergreen boughs down
As I pass by small town after small town.
The green Monarchs just beyond Hope
The Cascades and Schweitzer’s slopes
The great 208, license plate 7B
I find my peace and tranquility, carefree.
