The Baby is not a S’more

Apparently, Carter’s believes there is a fine line between an adorable cotton sleeper and kindling with annoying little snaps. I kid you not, the tag on this baby bear onesie says, “KEEP AWAY FROM FIRE.”

And honestly, I agree about the snaps. They should have been done away with years ago. But when I say we should toss them out, this is not exactly what I had in mind.

I have some questions.

Is this a widespread parenting issue? Are people setting their babies near open flames and thinking, “Seems cozy”? I would have thought parents instinctually kept their children away from fire. Like as a species, we should have ironed out “don’t put the baby near fire” somewhere around the Stone Age. Surely after discovering fire, someone said, “Awesome invention. Great for warmth. Bad for babies.”

Here we are 2026. A Modern civilization. Pretty advanced fabrics. Warning labels. I’m genuinely curious did the carter’s legal department really think, “Better clarify.”

Thank you, tiny tag. Without you, who knows what chaos might have ensued today.
